Igor’s dad left for Paris on business; mom went shopping. Left alone, Igor quickly missed you. He fashioned a bust of Gogol from a dough requested from a cook, but he was eaten by an angry turkey, the cow was afraid of the cow, and he considered the calf to be “ridiculous creature” because he had a bad habit of chewing on his new jacket.
Finally, Igor remembered that there was a boat on the pond at the pier. That's where you don't get bored! You can play the admiral or catch fish on a safety pin. True, Igor alone was strictly forbidden to ride the boat, but the boat was tied to the pier with a chain locked by the castle, and the boy decided that in this case the ban does not apply.
Igor got into the boat, started playing the admiral, and so rocked his “ship” that the hook on which the chain was held pulled the pier out of the rotten wood. The boat sailed. The oar was too heavy for Igor, and he could only "wait, where God will take it."
Soon the boat was nailed to an island in the middle of the pond, where rabbits lived and a carved booth with an armful of hay stood. Igor measured his possessions - 25 steps long and 15 steps wide - and decided that there was a lot of space.
The smaller the boy, the more spacious it seems to him every piece of land ...
Meanwhile, the boat, which the boy forgot to tie, sailed away. Igor did not want to spend the night in a booth without dinner. He started screaming, but the house was far away and no one heard him. Igor sat for a while on a stump, fearlessly chased away a rat that had arrived on the island and got hungry.
Then the boy climbed into the booth and fell asleep. He dreamed that a huge crocodile got out of the pond and wanted to eat it in his name day with a third dish. Igor twitched, woke up and heard a gardener poodle barking somewhere. The boy ran to the shore of the island, the poodle saw him and instantly sailed. Igor wrote a note to the gardener and tied it to a poodle's collar.
A smart dog brought a note to the gardener, but he didn’t understand anything and threw it away. The poodle did not calm down, grabbed the gardener by the apron and dragged him to the pond. Soon Igor-Robinson was saved. Returning to the house, the boy made a large cardboard medal for a poodle "for saving a dying boy who was arbitrarily stuck on an island."
